South Miami, Florida is 2 miles NE of Kendall, Florida (center to center) and 7 miles SW of Miami, Florida. It is located in Miami Dade County. According to the United States Census Bureau, the population was 11,657 in 2010 and 11,911 in 2019. The city has easy access to the adjacent cities and villages that are part of the Miami metropolitan region.
